In the Turks and Caicos
Well folks, it’s been a while since we have
shown any sign of life. No worries though, Buena Onda is in better shape than
ever and we have just had 2 super months of cruising in the Bahamas.
Unfortunately our wireless booster has not survived the extreme outdoor
conditions, making our opportunities to use the internet very scarce. We hope
we’ll find a new one soon!
As a country, the Bahamas is exactly what you would expect it to be: 3 zillion islands surrounded by shades of water so ridiculously blue that they don’t even exist in real life. There’s not a lot of people (except in Nassau), the underwater scenes are breathtaking and the sailing is absolutely sublime. The only thing that did not fit our expectations was the almost complete lack of palm trees on the island beaches… I guess we can live with that.
We have just arrived in the Turks and Caicos, which turns out to be a whole different country altogether. We had never heard of it before, but our passports got the rare Turks and Caicos stamp today so it’s for real! We’ve added a couple of pics, stories and videos to the Bahamas tab, undoubtedly good if you’re bored at work or on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
Hope you’re all well, and thanks for all your enthusiastic reactions. Even if we don’t react to them, we definitely enjoy hearing from you guys!
